Here's a glimpse of our weekend activities:
The boys butchered the tree (which was our compromise between chopping the thing down and leaving it to shade us during the summer),
but saved one branch for a mama hummingbird.
Saturday evening we had a...
What a happy bunch we are! The movie started at 7:30, and by the time we arrived at the drive-in, we had TWO children already asleep. We had blankets a-plenty, but could have used much more padding. This old lady's body is not as adaptable as it once was. Other than our choice of movie being a bomb, it was still fun to be together doing something we seldom do.
Sunday topped off our weekend with some wild weather - the temp dropped, it rained, and then it hailed!

why would you let todd do that to your tree??! and you call yourself a tree-lover.
looks like a fun-filled weekend, especially the drive-in! what movie did y'all see?
"let" is a strong word. i put up a good fight and clearly lost. he wants to yank it 'cuase the leaves keep clogging the pool pump - which makes him grumpy. i've felt really sorry for the hummingbird mommy without any shelter during the weekend storms.
movie: coraline. not recommended.
why doesn't he just skim the leaves out of the pool? sheesh.
i heard caroline was great! what gives?
Looks like a good weekend.... and great pics as usual!
faith - well ms. smartie pants, he would want me to be sure to tell you that he DOES skim everyday and it still clogs the dang pump. it's an expensive problem. that tree does drop some serious leaves.
maybe those that loved CORAline love weird movies. paige practically cheered when she realized the movie was over. but go ahead, i'd love to hear your take on it.
Great pictures. Looks like you guys have been having fun and keeping busy! I've been meaning to take the kids to the drive in someday. It always looks like a good time.
The camping out in a loaded RV is my kinds of camping. lol
I DO LOVE THE PIC OF PAIGE AND THE UMBRELLA ON THE TRAMPOLINE!
oh ya and the long sleeve, sweat pants and umbrella seem more fitting for the winter hail than paris putting on her swimming suit and FREEZING (ultimatly not wanting to go out but after she wanted to so badly I made her run once into the hail) we'll try clothes and umbrella next time!
sara - you MADE her run once into the hail? geesh!
