When Paige was around 4 years old, she expressed a desire to pierce her ears. My reply was that she had to wait until she was 7. Seven years old seemed such a long ways off at that time.
The morning of her 7th birthday, ear-piercing was first on our 'to do' list. Paige recruited her cousin, Amber, to get her ears done, too. They've been in full anticipation mode for months now.
We met at the mall. Paige and Amber, wearing matching dresses from their grandma, chose matching pink daisy earrings as well. Our brave birthday girl went first, tightly gripping a stuffed bear and wearing a brave face.
Amber was nervous after hearing it "hurt more than shots" and gripped her mommy's hand tightly. Fortunately, the girls both made it through though without any tears. Now they are each the proud owners of new holes in their ears. Beautiful!

She took it like a champ! (Brityn has been asking for the same thing for a while now - I told her 9 years old! haha. I'm sure it will still feel like it came too fast though. :)

It looks like she had a wonderful birthday. We miss you guys! Can't wait untill we get together again.
